BACKGROUND:

The three chosen children to be sponsored were residents from Sitio Aliguas in Dagupan City. If you are familiar with this place, it is known to be the little “Tondo” here in the city. The place was known to be a place where notorious people were found but despite what the people knew about this place, there are still people who were not of the same kind. There are still those people who were different from the others, there were still people who love and fear God and needs people who can help them get through their present circumstances and some of them were these three kids, Rodney, Rhiz Joaquin and Rejen Aquino.

These siblings were in a very pitiful situation. They are living in a small house together with their grandmother and their two elder siblings. Both of their parents were in jail due to drugs for almost 6 years now so they lived in their grandmother’s house. Their grandmother’s source of income is selling street foods like kikiam, fishball, meatballs, etc within their community. The money she earned will be used for their everyday needs. Of course, this was not enough for the family. Sometimes when there was no extra money left from their grandmother’s income, they were force to skip their meals. The elder children were also forced to stop schooling due to financial problem. However, the three kids were still going to school. Sometimes, due to lack of money, they go to school without allowances or “baon”. They walk from their house to their school. But even these kids were in this kind of situation, they still have the courage to continue their schooling and we can see that there is still hope that is seen in their eyes and they believe that one day, their lives were going to change. Praise God for the people that God has brought to the lives of these little children, in one way or another, they are receiving financial blessings that helps them in their schooling. Our prayer is to see them successful and different from the people in their community, and that they may also grow spiritually and continue to walk in the ways of the Lord.

Soli Deo Gloria!

GKN Radio Telethon / In the Philippines

Aloha & Praise the Lord for He is so good!

As you may know, GLOBAL KIDS NOW, our non-profit, faith-based humanitarian organization hosted a Fundraiser Concert with Dennis James Lee and the Free To Follow Band in February 2015 with the hope of raising the funds needed to travel to the Philippines on a ministry mission. In April 2015, our team was able to go into the missions field because of your financial contributions. THANK YOU! On this trip, our missions team encountered many new friends in the Philippines and was able to experience, first hand, the devastating poverty that is wide-spread throughout the many provinces traveled.

It was a heart-wrenching sight to observe such brokenness amongst households of parent-less families with multiple children being raised by an elderly grandparent, or children just simply dredging through dump sites hoping to unearth recyclable items to exchange for food. Many of these children are referred to as squatters who spend their days rummaging through what we would consider trash rather than being in schools to obtain their well-needed education. Our mission team learned that most children do not attend school because they don’t have the money needed to pay for their transportation. Such an unfortunate tragedy!

But GOD! During the missions trip the team, along with Pastor Sonny Ona of Word International Ministries, was blessed to partner with other ministries leaders and pastors who were able to guide the team through several provinces where the team was able to minister to and love on the many, many children and families with the Love of Jesus Christ through music, hula, and the Word of God! Everyone joyfully received the tremendous amounts of Aloha not just from the missions team, but from you, our supporters here in Hawaii. We were so blessed and have developed such a depth of love for our Ohana in the Philippines, which is why GLOBAL KIDS NOW has made a commitment to campaign for the support of all children who are in need in the Philippines.

Please enjoy viewing this video of our mission team’s experience in the Philippines in April 2015.

To continue our pledge to our Filipino Ohana, GLOBAL KIDS NOW is hosting a Special 2-Day Radio Telethon next week Tuesday & Wednesday, that’s July 14 & 15, on Hawaii’s very own 95.5 The FISH. The Radio-Telethon will be airing from 5:30am – 6:00pm on July 14, and 5:30am – 10:00am on July 15, seeking the support from all of our Hawaii islands so we can provide for the needs of the Feeding Programs our dear partners and friends are launching in the Philippines. These new partners in ministry, Lemton Agricola and Pastor Joedy Lim, amongst other pastors & leaders, have such a passion to help bring hope to the children who have lost all hope, and we are committed to partner with them to beat poverty and the plans of the enemy!

We are asking for your support during our Radio Telethon and beyond! Please join us by tuning in during our air-time and make your pledge to help us, help our Filipino Ohana in the Philippines. You can also make your financial contribution at anytime by visiting our donations page.

Please share the Poster Announcement (below) with your friends & family. Help us bring awareness, support and ALOHA to the Philippines.

May God Bless You Abundantly!

Now in the Philippines

These are some of the children Global Kids Now is helping through our feeding programs which include meals, education, physical screenings, proper etiquette, and biblical teachings. Our teachers have a genuine heart of Christ to serve the children in these communities with the goal to raise up these children in an environment filled with love and encouragement, offering them a hope for a future, for God loves the little children.

Global Kids Now is honored to have the opportunity to serve these beautiful children and their families. There is much work still to be done as these are just a few of the many more children who are living in such awful, unhealthy, and unsafe conditions within the Philippines. But, as these photos demonstrate, the children we are currently able to help are very happy to know that they are not forgotten, and it is the support of our donors that make it possible for us to bring hope to these little lives.

Phillipines Medical Mission

Medical Mission Music Tour for Philippines

A statistical report in 2014 by Mundi, indicates a high population of approximately 12-million residing in the metropolitan area alone with an estimated poverty rate of 26% exists, ranging much higher for farmers, fishermen, the self-employed, women and children. Many Filipinos avoid medical care and treatment due to this very reason. Extremely low household income levels and high out-of-pocket costs for medical care, averaging at approximately 52% of the entire medical cost, keeps the people away from receiving the medical care they need. Due to these conditions, Stanley Togikawa, through the Shiraki Memorial Foundation, felt it necessary to contribute his time and funding towards the physical needs of the people in the Philippines with medical equipment and supplies which will be distributed to hospitals and care homes in and near the Metro Manila region.

Besides the physical needs of the Filipino people, our team believes it is vitally important to meet their Spiritual needs as well which is why Mr. Togikawa formed a medical and music mission partnership with Dennis James Lee and the Free To Follow Band so together they can assist the people of the Philippines in the aspect of its great physical and spiritual need.

Therefore, from April 9 through 16, 2015, Dennis James Lee, and the Free to Follow Band, along with their gracious and lovely hula dancers, will visit care homes, hospitals, orphanages, and drug rehabilitation facilities in many provinces such as Metro Manila, Pangasinan, and more, bringing an abundant flavor of Hawaii and its Spirit of Aloha (Love) from our Ke Akua (Heavenly Father) with a sincere message of Hope for the broken through Hawaii’s Christian and Cultural music and dance, sharing their God-given gifts as well as testimonies of how their lives were transformed by the loving Grace of God .

As a Title Event Sponsor, your corporation will demonstrate its full support of the Philippines and its people, being recognized as a partner in this mission for the betterment of the people. Your corporate sponsorship will gain honor and respect from the Filipino community in Hawaii as well as the Philippines with the potential of increasing your business popularity and success!

Haiti Kids Now to Global Kids Now

The staff at Haiti Kids Now, would like to sincerely thank you for your committed contribution to our non-profit organization which has supported our efforts in providing for and educating, academically and spiritually, the streets kids in Haiti.

The Haiti Kids Now has been helping the street kids in Haiti since we first formed the organization in 2009.

Recently, our corporate officers made the wonderful decision to expand its reach beyond the walls of Haiti. We have seen amazing growth in these kids and realized it is time to go the stretch by not limiting the possibilities to only the kids in Haiti.

We understand that poverty, unfortunately, exists in all nations around the world and believe it is our God-given duty and desire to serve the poor and needy globally.

God has called His disciples to go out into all the world to feed the hungry, to give drink to the thirsty, to clothe the naked, and to save the lost and desolate with His gift of salvation. This is our calling and we ask that you will continue to stand with us as we move into this new expansion outreach.

In order to accommodate this expansion, we have made a change to our organization’s name, from Haiti Kids Now to Global Kids Now.

This new name will allow us to take your gifts globally to all children anywhere and everywhere possible in this world.

The new Global Kids Now will take effect as of September 1, 2014, therefore, we ask that your financial gifts be written out to: GLOBAL KIDS NOW.

The officers and staff at Global Kids Now are very excited for this new venture. We know that this outreach could not be possible without you, therefore, we offer our humble gratitude to you for your cooperation and your contributions, and most certainly for your decision to help our team reach God’s children around the world! May God richly bless you and your family always!
